Chorizo & Avocado Bites

Using Muy Fresco® Queso Blanco Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

Yield: 1 serving

  • 1/4 cup (2 oz)

    Muy Fresco® Queso Blanco Cheese Sauce

  • 1/2

    Avocado, peeled, pit removed and finely diced

  • 4 oz

    Fresh spicy chorizo sausage, casing removed

  • 3 Tbsp

    All-purpose flour

  • 1

    Egg, beaten

  • 1/2 cup

    Corn tortilla chips, finely crushed

  • 1/2 cup

    Vegetable oil

  • 1 Tbsp

    Fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Prepare Muy Fresco® Queso Blanco Cheese Sauce according to package directions. Hold for service or heat to order.

  2. In small bowl, combine avocado and chorizo. Roll into 2-inch balls.

  3. In 3 separate bowls, place flour, egg and crushed tortilla chips.

  4. Dredge chorizo avocado balls in flour, dip in egg and coat in crushed tortilla chips.

  5. In medium skillet set over medium-high heat, add oil. When shimmering, deep-fry chorizo and avocado bites for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and chorizo is cooked through. Hold for service or fry to order.

  6. Serve chorizo and avocado bites with Muy Fresco® Queso Blanco Cheese Sauce for dipping. Garnish with parsley.
