Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift

We are a premier food manufacturer of cheese sauces, puddings and nutritional beverages located in Clear Lake, WI.  We are searching for a well rounded individual to join our team in the position of Production Supervisor for our 3rd Shift. The successful candidate will accomplish the organizations strategic objectives by maintaining production efficiencies, managing available resources, improving processes, and identifying and advising necessary improvements


  • Promote a high level of safety
  • Oversee Production process
  • Strive to meet established quality standards
  • Ensure that production meets production standards on a daily basis
  • Provides direction and training to assigned employees to ensure that they are fully trained for their jobs, and are accountable for their work
  • Effectively solves problems on the line to minimize downtime and expedite the work
  • Brings employee issues to the attention of the Superintendent
  • Request resources such as quality assurance, maintenance and quality control for problem solving and keeping Superintendent informed
  • Initiates strong leadership within the department, fostering an environment of respect
  • Make recommendations on process or quality improvements
  • Moves through the entire facility in a proactive, helpful manner to ensure processes are aligned and functioning at expected levels
  • Provides on time, reliable data to Superintendent on quality, downtime, rework, and equipment problems
  • Ensures that there is a smooth transition from shift to shift


  • Participate in the plant safety initiatives
  • Promote and maintain excellent safety record


  • Abide by and assure the compliance of Plant HACCP Program
  • Participate in facility inspections
  • Assure compliance of all internal and external audits
  • Assist in the implementation of Quality Action Plan
  • Maintain State Regulatory Compliance
  • Reduce product condemns


  • Prepare and analyze daily and monthly production efficiency reports
  • Administer Union Contract
  • Follow through with written disciplinary actions
  • Approve and Verify Employee’s Labor Hours

Education and Training:

  • Previous work experience in a Lead or Supervisor capacity
  • Ability to understand and initiate change
  • Understanding of cost based management
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to accept and facilitate direction
  • Strong mechanical abilities to troubleshoot minor machine maintenance
  • Computer literate, with knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills required
  • Familiar with Safety based organizational structure
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Management, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of Food Manufacturing/Processing and Sanitation, Aseptic processing preferred
  • Previous experience in a Union environment preferred
