POSITION DESCRIPTION:
To coordinate and manage the Training Activities within the Visalia facility and contribute with team concepts by assisting in related functions as required for efficiency and effectiveness of the facility.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for developing, planning, administering, modifying and overseeing all activities related to training and development.
- Develop training policies, programs, and schedules based on knowledge of company processes and systems.
- Analyze program evaluations and results to determine training effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
- Responsible for organizing, developing along with maintaining training manuals, reference materials, visual aids and other educational materials related to the job specific.
- Responsible for learning preventative maintenance program on equipment.
- Knowledge of Sanitation Procedures from CIP to start-up of equipment.
- Responsible for tracking and evaluating process of employees being trained.
- Develop and coordinate employee skills training for job specific positions.
- Ability to develop and support specific training department’s goals and initiatives as directed by Plant Manager.
- Ability to spend over 50 percent of time doing hands-on assessments and training of employees on departmental needs for the specific equipment.
- Must demonstrate high levels of motivation, reliability and discretion.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Must be extremely organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Skills, (Word, Excel, and Power Point) as well as strong conceptual skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- A four-year college degree or equivalent in Food Manufacturing, Business Administration plus specialized training/education in dairy industry or food processing equipment.
- Three to Five years of experience in production management in a food environment.
- Supervision experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR FUNDS AND PROPERTY:
Great extent of cost reduction, conservation, protection and for economical use of company assets, security, and money. This positions does not handle company cash, checks, or securities. This job has single transaction accountability for company facilities, equipment, or other material assets in the amount specified by Vice President of Operations.
IMPACT ON THE COMPANY:
Great responsibility for meeting strategic plan, level of customer sensitivity, setting policy and meeting annual operating plans.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Able to multi-task in an environment that requires quick decisions to adverse set of problems. Operates a computer. Operates equipment to meet speed, quantity, and quality goals. Negligible effort in lifting, moving, operating equipment, standing, climbing/walking, and bending/stooping/twisting. Lifts approximately 25 to 50 pounds of weight
OPERATION OF TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Requires advanced skills in word processing/spreadsheets, PC, operational procedures for plant equipment and mechanical aptitude with other technical equipment.
LEADERSHIP:
Must provide leadership to employees supervised. Must recognize the need for improvements and effectively manage implementation of change. Must gain support and commitment from within department as well as with other departments and plants within the organization. This job requires general supervision.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Virtually all work is done independently, with considerable decision making responsibility.
Starting salary 60K annually
