AFP is proud of its high standards and certifications with the following groups:
BRITISH RETAIL CONSORTIUM (BRC)
AFP follows the British Retail Consortium (BRC)Food Technical Standard and Protocol and has received a Grade of “A” in all three plants and warehouses. This protocol was developed by BRC to evaluate manufacturers and suppliers of retail branded products. Suppliers of packaging to UK retailers or suppliers of packaging to food manufacturers providing retailer branded products, have an obligation to put appropriate systems and controls in place to ensure the suitability of their packaging for safe food use. This Standard is regarded as the benchmark for best practices in the food industry to assess retailer suppliers and as a framework upon which many companies have based their supplier assessment programs and manufacture of branded products.
GLOBAL FOOD SAFETY INITIATIVE (GFSI)
AFP is compliant with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). This effort supports the continuous improvement of food safety management systems to ensure confidence in the delivery of safe food to consumers worldwide. GFSI provides a platform for collaboration between some of the world’s leading food safety experts from retailer, manufacturer and food service companies, service providers associated with the food supply chain, international organizations, academia and government. AFP is GFSI-certified in all plants and warehouses.
